A nice happy post for a change...
First of all, I have no idea why I'm up so early... I got up this morning at 4 am and couldn't go back to sleep. I ended up spending A LOT of time on ebay looking for out of print dvds like "A Christmas Romance," "The Gathering" (woo hoo for my new Randal Kleiser addiction!!), and "The Hasty Heart." They're all outrageously priced because the sellers probably know that silly Greg Harrison and Randal Kleiser fans (like me) will pay an arm and a leg for it. :)

In any case, I decided to take a break from all my depressing posts and post something uplifting and happy for a change. :) And there's nothing happier than talking about my next trip to LA!! :) In exactly one week, Mark & I wil be on our way to LA to see some wonderful theatre!! :) I'm pretty thrilled about this trip because very rarely does Mark accompany me on my theatre excusions. And aside from an unknown matinee on Saturday, I think we have all of our shows planned out...

Friday 8/11 eve: Lizard @ NoHo Arts Center
Saturday 8/12 mat: ??? (Can anyone suggest a good show in the Hollywood / Burbank area??)
Saturday 8/12 eve: Kevin in concert with the California Philharmonic (WOOO!) :)
Sunday 8/13 mat: tick, tick...BOOM! (Again!) @ the Coronet
Sunday 8/13 eve: Curtains @ the Ahmanson :)

It should be a great, relaxing weekend and the perfect getaway from all the recent stress at work... :)

Anyway, speaking of Randal Kleiser (which I wasn't really doing, but he's in my new icon so doesn't that give me free reign to speak about him anywhere in my post?) ;) a couple of very sweet LJ friends have recently told me that they have obtained (or will soon obtain) "It's My Party" to watch based on all the gushing I did about it in my last post. ;) I'd love to know what anyone who has watched this movie has thought of it. :D And I know it's not for everyone, but I just adored it!

Last night, there was a HUGE accident on the freeway near our cut off. The freeway was shut down down and the cars there were basically at a standstill for nearly 2 hours. And unlike the mainland, we really only have three major freeways on the island - so there was really only one way to get home. :P So hearing how bad the traffic was, I called Mark and asked him to meet me at my workplace and suggested dinner at the mall so we could wait for the traffic to clear. We ended up eating wonderful salads at California Pizza Kitchen and having a great time. :) It's sort of nice to break up our daily routine once in a while like that and go out unexpectedly - so, in a way, the traffic turned out to be a really nice thing. :)

I'm off to search ebay a bit more as I wait for my sleepy husband to wake up, and then I think we're heading to Marukai for some tempura sushi!! :D Hope you all have a lovely Sunday!! *HUGS*

I think I knew some of that. I vaguely remember hearing that he was responsible for bringing "The Hasty Heart" to the L.A. stage.

Now he's Billy Flynn in the touring company of "Chicago"... who knew he could sing? I mean,... besides you. ;) :D
