Of course, I'm a little biased when it comes to Trevor Graydon... Mikel Humerickhouse was a good Graydon, and one of the stronger members of the cast, but I'm sorry... he's just not Kevin... :( And I know - that's extremely unfair of me, but I saw Kevin in the role 10 times over the course of a six month period - to me there is no other...
The Millie, Shawna Masuda, had a BEAUTIFUL voice, but some of what made the character of Millie on Broadway really endearing were the little things that Sutton brought to the role that made it funny... I think there were more than a few scenes where opportunity for laughs were passed up because this performance lacked a simple inflection in the voice, or a simple facial expression... All in all, though, it was a really strong local production, but seeing it really made me miss the broadway cast. :(
Wanted to thank you all for your wonderfully helpful comments in my last post about Tivo/DVRs. :) I think we're going to have to invest in something soon so all the information will be extremely useful. As a side note, my Mom was nice enough to tape "Celebrity Duets" for me last night and I happened to find a clip of Hal singing "Lady" on You Tube. *SIGH* I did get to watch the results show tonight and though I was a little sad that Hal was eliminated it's just so wonderful and exciting that he made it to the final 3 at all. :)
This weekend I'm working on my websites, trying to catch up on my Continuing Education courses for work, and tomorrow night, we're taking Mark's family out to dinner at Macaroni Grill. I'm still on my healthy eating plan, but I've been really craving pasta for a long time and I really haven't eaten out in about five weeks now... I think I could afford to eat a little bit of pasta... :)
Hope you all have a nice weekend! I'm off to either a) get some sleep, b) answer work emails, or c) work on my website... As much as I'd like to choose c), b) might be necessary... and if I don't watch out, a) might become a distinct possibility. :P
