Six Feet Under, and wonderful theatre plans! :)
It's odd... Mark & I have almost completely moved on from our incident the other week. We both have replaced our laptops and have been spending the week trying to install programs to complete them and a lot of the time, it's not too hard to forget about what happened. But every once in a while, I'll go to "My Documents" file to get a photo and remember that it isn't there... OR the other day I realized I was missing all of my additional fonts that took me SOOO long to collect and can't do any of VMT's banners without them... I know these are small things and very trivial in the whole scheme of things, but it takes some getting used to and it's very annoying...

Spent some time watching the first episode of "Six Feet Under" last night... Mark thought I'd enjoy the quirkiness of it so he added it to my iPod. I have to admit that the graphic nature in which they deal with death on the show is a bit unnerving and definitely creepy, but if I can get past that, I think I might actually enjoy the show. None of the storylines jump out at me - except, of course, the David and Keith storyline (who are in my new icon above) - aside from the fact that Michael C. Hall and Mathew St. Patrick are GORGEOUS to begin with (and I've seen both of them prior to 6FU, Michael in various photos on Broadway.Com and Mathew on General Hospital, if you can believe that!!) the two of them together are EXTREMELY attractive! I'm really loving their relationship on the show and, if nothing else, want to keep watching it to see where it goes.

On a theatre note, I've finally firmed up my theatre schedule for our February trip:

Thursday, Feb 15th - Kevin & Bets in concert at Carpenters' Center (WOO!)
Friday, Feb 16th - 13 (again!!) at the Mark Taper Forum
Saturday, Feb 17th (mat) - will have to see - not sure if Wonderettes have a matinee that day...
Saturday, Feb 17th (eve) - possibly The Beastly Bombing to see Heather.
Sunday, Feb 18th (1pm) - Altar Boyz at the Wadsworth
Sunday, Feb 18th (4pm) - Kimberly Akimbo at the Victory Theatre
Sunday, Feb 18th (7pm) - Stage Struck at Colony Theatre

Finally, I wanted to send some warm birthday wishes out to cahwyguy - hope you have a wonderful day today, Daniel!!

Today I have some cleaning up to do around here, some web work to finish, and then Mark & I are probably heading to Down to Earth because I'm running really low on granola and I'm SOOOO addicted to the granola they have there. :) Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!! Big *HUGS* to you!!

it's not too hard to forget about what happened

However, do remember to get insurance in place, and to save receipts as some of the replacements are business expenses (i.e., talk to an accountant).

Definitely!! I guess by forget, I just mean that we aren't constantly dwelling on it... Thanks for all your help in this area. :)

Anything fun planned for your special day? :)

Thanks, Ilene! The weekend was wonderful and un-eventful, which is how I really like it. :)

I'm proud of you guys and glad that you aren't letting this get you down...I don't think I would be that strong, but I think it's wonderful that you are!

Six Feet Under is one of those shows that I never watched but always thought I would like. Gill and I always say that someday, when we have the money, we will buy the complete series on dvd. :)

Your trip sounds great! I cannot wait to hear what you think of Altar Boyz! And, as always, I love that our trips are always around the same time, so we both have something to look forward to together. :)

Hope you had a great rest of the weekend. ♥

Thanks so much for all of your support throughout all of this, Karen!! You've been a terrific friend! :)

"Six Feet Under" is a little creepy, but I think the characters are VERY well drawn and the love story between David and Michael -- I mean... Keith (AAAK!! Too much QaF on the brain!) is just lovely.

And YAY for coinciding theatre trips!! Hope you guys have a wonderful time as well!! :) Have a nice week, Karen!! Big *HUGS*

Aww, I'm glad you're able to get past it. I know it must have been so devastating, but it's so nice that you're able to move on. It's the little things that get to me too.. ;)

Your trip sounds absolutely amazing. I am so excited for you and so excited for you to see Altar Boyz :D

Thanks so much, Gill - you've been absolutely wonderful through all of this! I have been amazed at the kindness and thoughtfulness of everyone after this happened - if nothing else, that's something certainly wonderful to come out of this entire ordeal!

YAY!! I'm excited about the trip too!! I've heard so many good things about Altar Boyz - I'm so excited!
