A wonderful birthday filled with wonderful food and wonderful friends. :)
Thank you so much again for all your sweet birthday wishes yesterday!! I had a wonderful day... I walked in from my meeting downtown to find a beautiful bouquet of flowers sitting on my desk from my amazing hubby. :) And my office was sweet enough to have a lunch for me - from one of my favorite places - California Pizza Kitchen! :) They even got me a GC for the mall AND some really great organic veggie soup!! I really have to say, as much as I don't like my job at times, my wonderful co-workers definitely are the main reasons I'm still there. :)

After work, Mark took me to P.F. Chang's for some of the best veggie Chinese food I've ever eaten! We had the stir fried eggplant, the veggie chow fun, and the shanghai cucumbers... SOOO yummy! :) For dessert we had this thing called "The Lucky 8" - it was this incredible chocolate filled spring roll with warm caramel & peanut butter dipping sauce and crushed toffee chips all around - it was to-die-for!! I've definitely found my new favorite restaurant! :) Mark & I have promised to go back -- VERY soon! :)

Here are a few photos if you're interested:

This is the lovely bouquet that Mark got for me. :)

I loved the vibrant colors of the flowers!

I have the most amazing hubby!! :)

Here's that AMAZING dessert I was talking about earlier - The Lucky 8. :)
Those are the chocolate filled spring rolls with the caramel & peanut butter dipping sauce...
HEAVEN, I tell ya!! :)

I just wished I wasn't so full by the time it arrived...

Being full didn't seem to slow Mark down one bit! :)

I've also been spending the last few days in David and Keith bliss watching "Six Feet Under". I'm up to episode 6 of season one and for some reason, unlike "Queer as Folk", I can't seem to watch too many in succession... Heck, I could watch QaF the entire night and be done with a season in less than two days! :) As much as I love SFU, I can't take more than one episode per night. I love the show, though - it's so brilliantly written. And though "Queer as Folk" will always have a special place in my heart, David & Keith's love story is FAR more realistic than anything I've ever seen on TV before. They're complex and not always perfect, but I just love them!!

Hope you're all having a nice week. :) I'm off to do some web work and catch up on all of your entries. Big *HUGS* to you all!!

6FU is a lot more intense than QAF, that's for sure. and seconded on David and Keith's relationship. I kind of fell off the 6FU wagon after a while, so I can't speak to quite as much about their relationship as I would like, but I totally agree that it's probably one of the most realistic relationships (just between two people even) that I think has been portrayed on TV.

The more I watch the show, the more addicted to it I get. At first I only watched it to see the David and Keith storyline, but have found some of the other storylines equally as compelling. Besides Michael C. Hall and Mathew St. Patrick are just amazingly talented actors (not to mention gorgeous beyond belief...) *SIGH*

How much of the series have you watched?

I got it to confuse my computer and so I'm late, sorry. :( But I still would like to tell you that I'm glad that you had a nice birthday. :) The flowers Mark got for you are beautiful, I really like their colors. And this dessert looks very delicious - luckily, all shops are already closed here so it's easy to resist any temptations to buy some chocolate. :) But most of all I love the picture of you and Mark. You not only look great but happy too! :) Wish you all a wonderful weekend and big *hugs* to you, Sheri!
