Sydney's new medication...
...isn't agreeing with her at all. :( We've been cleaning up puppy puke for the past couple of days. :( Poor Sydney! :( I went back to the vet today to get a different set of meds - hopefully this one won't be so hard on her stomach! :(

And if it's possible, Sydney's vertigo actually looked worse today... *SIGH*

I don't know if it will make a difference on how it affects Sydney's tummy, but we've just started using Pill Pockets with all the meds Caleigh has been on lately, and it sure goes down a lot easier !!

Thanks SO much for the link!! What a wonderful invention those pill pockets are! I know it would certainly help my in-laws if they ever have to watch Sydney (because they have such problems getting her to take her meds!) I will definitely look for these! Thanks so much! HUGS!

That's when it would be really helpful if Sydney could just tell you what the problem is. :( *HUGS* I hope things start looking up for her with the new meds because I am sure she's miserable. *hugs all of you*

Thanks so much, Andrea!!! We're hoping for the best with these new meds. It looks promising (as far as the whole "keeping-it-down" aspect) - last night she managed to keep it down. We're just hoping that it works too... Thanks so much!! HUGS!

Just wanted to let you know that I am still sending healing thoughts Sydney's way... *hugs*

I'm very sorry to hear that. :( I hope the new meds will help Sydney to feel better!

When I tried to find some more information about this vertigo, I stumbled over a blog where the blog writer wrote that his dog Nala had an attack of vestibular disease, what also would be called "old dog vertigo". They not only describe the illness but also give tips how to help your dog - such as for example that one should avoid to carry the dog since that would disrupt the dog's sense of orientation or, the blog owner tells for example that one should get a comfortable harness for the dog because physical therapy would be great for people and dogs, too. Please, don't get this wrong, I just wish I could help someway.

You all are in my thoughts. I'm sending love and big *hugs* your way!

Thanks so much for the link to the blog and the medical reference, Sabine!! The second one helped tremendously - because I didn't know that it could be linked to a thyroid problem! Sydney was diagnosed earlier with a thyroid problem at her old vet... I liked reading it too, because it gave me hope that Sydney will be able to get better - that it'll just take some time...

Big HUGS and much love to you, Sabine!!!
