Stolen from cahwyguy a while ago...

Comment and I'll give you a letter. You have to list 10 things you love that begin with that letter. After, post this in your journal, and give out some letters of your own.

cahwyguy gave me the letter "S" in remembrance of Sydney-dog.

  1. Sydney-dog - Of course she'd be my number one "s" word! We brought Sydney home in November of 1997 and she's been a HUGE part of our family and lives ever since. Even throughout her long battle with liver disease, she was such an inspiration to us with her great attitude and love for life. She left us nearly three weeks ago and our lives will not be the same without her fuzzy presence.

  2. Shelties - the only type of dog that I think I may ever own. I love all breeds of dogs, but I'm a sheltie person through and through. I love their sensitivity and their intelligence and most of all, their loyalty. Mark & I have spoken about possibly getting another breed (Mark likes Corgis and I like Malamutes) but we both agree that when we ever do get another dog, it'll be another Sheltie.

  3. Six Feet Under - in my opinion, possibly the best show that ever aired on TV. Not only was the writing and acting incredible, but the portrayal of David and Keith (my favorite couple on the show) was one of the most realistic portrayals of any couple I'd ever seen on TV. Plus any show with Michael C. Hall and Matthew St. Patrick is extremely wonderful in my book. :)

  4. Santa Barbara - I lived there for about 4 years in college. Looking back, it was the perfect place for me to live - it was just close enough to LA so I could drive down in a moment's notice, yet just far enough away to not be "in LA." I haven't gone back there since 1998, but I still feel like it's my home away from home.

  5. Side Show - one of my favorite musicals for very sentimental reasons. It's the show that first introduced me to Julie, Misty, and Nick all the way back in 2002. And really, how could I NOT love a show that starred Kevin, Julie, and Misty that was directed by Nick? I loved the entire cast, and I think the cast and the show will always hold a special place in my heart.

  6. Sleeping Beauty Wakes - LOVED this show and its cast! Most importantly the show introduced me to the incredibly talented Russell Harvard! :) I'd seen the show a total of four times in April and May and would've gone back for more had they not closed when they did...

  7. Sign Language, American - This goes hand in hand with the item above. I'd learned ASL a long, long time ago back in high school, but seeing the show and being surrounded by the beauty of the language, I made a decision to take night school classes and re-start my ASL education.

  8. Seventeen-Seventy-Six - Okay, so I cheated a little here. ;) One of my favorite musicals - 1776... :) First saw it back in September of 2001 (almost EXACTLY 6 years ago) and it was the show that introduced me to Kevin. I can't remember what I spoke with him about when I met him for the first time, but I do remember him telling me, "You saw it HOW many times? You should save your money!" :) That, of course, was the beginning of six of possibly the best theatre years of my life! :) And of course, I will always be grateful to the show for introducing me to Bets!! :) Without that show, my life would be completely different in so many respects...

  9. Suzy Simpson & Sammy - Okay, I'm cheating again... Possibly the NICEST couple that I have been blessed to meet through my theatre adventures. So, those aren't their real names, only their MySpace aliases... they've been SO sweet and SO supportive of us since we met them and I constantly feel blessed to know them. :)

  10. Sparks, Hal - Cute, intelligent, funny, literate, talented, GREAT political beliefs, and just an amazing all around person!! I simply LOVED him in Queer as Folk!!
Please comment to this entry and I'll give you a letter. :) Thanks so much in advance for participating. :D
