So...
...Mark & I are heading off for the weekend to Maui to spend some time together and just relax and act like tourists. :) It's been a while since we've been to the neighbor island (when it wasn't for work) and it'll be nice to see the sights and walk around Lahaina. :)

Tomorrow it will have been a month since we lost Sydney and on Sunday, Sydney would've turned 10 years old. :( In a way, we wanted to do something like this and get out of the house or we'd spend the entire weekend moping around, missing her. :(

In other sad news, my Mom called me yesterday to tell me that my uncle - who was suffering from the advanced stages of diabetes and kidney failure - passed away. With my intense work schedule next week, it doesn't look like Mark & I can fly out to the Big Island to attend his service, but if you could keep my aunt and my cousins in your thoughts, I'd really appreciate it.

On a completely different note, the CHESS concert (which was on Monday) went beautifully (from everything that I heard) Sheryl sent me the link to some wonderful photos from Broadway World - which I love!! :) My only comment is that I wished they had more on stage photos of Kevin (most of the on stage photos were of Ty Taylor - and where the HECK were the on stage photos of Susan Egan OR Thomas Ian Griffith?) :P

I'm off to get some rest... Our flight leaves at 8:00am tomorrow morning and I have the alarm set for 4:30am. Hope you all have a lovely weekend! Big HUGS to everyone!!

Thanks for your good thoughts for my family, Sabine. My uncle (who is my Mom's sister's husband) was actually ill for a really long time - their family has gone through a lot these past few years and I feel for them. :(

And Mark & I had a great time this weekend - thanks so much. We needed a weekend away where we could just relax a bit. :)

Big HUGS and much love to you!
