Some photos of my weekend trip (includes ISLTF & Wonderettes!)
I was finally able to stay awake long enough to upload a few photos of my recent trip last night. Most of them were of the wonderful people I met and ran into at the International Sign Language Theatre Festival which I recapped in my last entry, but I also got a few photos when I went to see the "Wonderettes" (for the 7 billionth time) :)

A little about my Wonderette experience... It's always so great seeing the girls on stage and even better was the fact that all of the original cast was in that evening, but the nicest surprise turned out to be that Bets reserved me a seat right next to Beth Malone (who is taking over her part until the show goes on hiatus after Thanksgiving - and who I saw and loved in "Sister Act" last year.) It was so sweet of Bets to seat us next to each other, especially since she knew that I'd always wanted to meet Beth!

Beth was sweet and funny and we spoke about the show and her involvement in it and I told her how neat it was that she'd always be a part of the show, even if she wasn't there - because she's in the program as "Judy Carter." :) Then, during several derogatory references in the show to Judy Carter (who is referred to in the show as "the mole head"), Beth hit me in the arm and laughed - she was so much fun to sit next to. :) It was wonderful meeting her and I'm very thankful to Bets for seating us next to each other. :)

Meeting CJ Jones' sweet Mom was one of the highlights of the trip for me!!
She was adorable!!

With the incredibly talented Ty Giordano

It was lovely to see Deanne, Troy, and their darling daughter at the festival!

This was the cutest thing I'd ever seen! It was a signing Charlie Brown!

Sadly no picture WITH Anthony this time (next time for sure!) but I did take a photo
of him W/O flash (the reason for the poor quality...) emceeing on stage! :)

ASL Storytime with the amazingly talented Michael Davis

With my two favorite Wonderettes - Julie and Bets!! :)

Oh, the stress of being stage manager! ;)

Julie, Art, and Bets!

I was lucky enough to catch a performance in which Art was the stage manager!! :)

I have to run to work, I hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween!! Big HUGS!!

Thanks for your comment!! I had a wonderful time! The highlights of the festival really had to be meeting CJ's Mom, finally meeting Anthony, and running into Ty... And I loved the signing Charlie Brown - I don't know if you can see it, but he's wearing a hearing aid in his right ear and he has a TTY machine behind him. :) It's SOOO fabulous!!

Thanks for the update, Sheri! I loved to read about your weekend and to look at the pictures. The Charlie Brown really looks cute. He also looks very large. Was he really so large?

I'm glad that you had a nice time even though it seemed to be a bit stressful, too. Big hugs to you, Sheri!

Thanks for your comment, Sabine!! :) I had a great time this past weekend - it was a bit stressful, but I'm so glad I went! :) And I loved the Charlie Brown - and you're right, he was pretty large - I think he was life sized! :)

I've missed you, Sabine!! Big HUGS to you!!

Awww, this is such an amazing account - Beth is my favourite performer from the Wonderettes cast I've seen (although I ADORE Victoria and Misty and Bets), and this is adorable! I did read somewhere on the net once that Beth was playing Suzy for a while, but I couldn't believe it! And now you've confirmed it. SIGH, how much do I wish I could go back in time and see her in the role, she'd be SO funny. I LOVE that they included her as Judy Carter because she couldn't be BJ in this run. AWWWW.

I've seen Beth in quite a few shows - I'd actually forgotten that I'd seen her play Sally in "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" at The Colony in 2002 with Julie. :) It was so nice of Bets to sit me next to her (later Bets told me it was because she knew how much I'd always wanted to meet her - how sweet!)

And I loved that Beth was in the NoHo playbill... as Judy Carter... :)

Again, I'm jealous! Beth got such fabulous reviews for her role in Charlie Brown. I'd really really love to be able to see Julie in something too, but it's harder since she's stuck pretty much to the west coast. Sad.

Bets is SO thoughtful!

Randomly - do you still have a copy of your NoHo playbill? If it's not too much trouble, could you... take a photo of it or something, I'd love to see Beth as Judy Carter. XD

I'll have to look for it! Recently, I boxed a bunch of old playbills and put them in storage. If I can find it, I'll definitely post a picture - it was the insert, so I'm hoping it's still with the playbill. :)

Awww, thank you so much! It'd be great if you COULD find it, but absolutely don't put yourself out - there's really no need if everything's all boxed-up! I can imagine it and it's funny enough already.
