So did anyone decide to fight the outrageous crowds at the mall today?
Not me!! Or at least, not me with the purpose of actually shopping! :P Unfortunately, the branch that my office is located in just happens to be right across the street from one of the three biggest shopping malls on the island - in fact - we share a parking lot with them. :P And because I have to work today, something tells me that traffic to and from my office is going to be just awful and won't get better until AFTER the New Year... :P

Hubby's not working today - he's sleeping off all the Thanksgiving food we ate last night and will probably have a great lunch of all the leftovers we brought home with us. :) Work will probably be slow today - I have this feeling that all the reps took the day off to either recover from the festivities of the night before or so they can head to the big University of Hawaii / Boise State football game this afternoon. :P

On a last note, before I run to work,... The Winter Wonderettes opens for previews tonight at the El Portal Forum Theatre! :) It should be fabulous and it stars three of my favorite people: Bets, Julie, and Misty! I will be flying out there for one day only (how crazy is that??) to see the show in a couple of weeks - and I'm VERY excited about it! :)

Hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving and if you decided to brave the malls today, I wish you well. :) Big HUGS to everyone! :)

Shopping online!! That's what I should've done!! I had a few hours before I had to go to work this morning - I should have been searching the net for after thanksgiving deals. :)

Thankfully the day wasn't too bad at all - in fact, most of my reps didn't come to work - I think everyone was watching the University of Hawaii / Boise State football game! :)

I avoided the mall, but went to a few "free-standing" stores like Kohl's, Joann's Fabrics and the ever-so-exciting Walgreens! ;)

Hubby went to Comp-USA and he said it was pretty crowded! I try to avoid the malls whenever possible after thanksgiving - it's too bad I work so close to one. :P

I can't take it on Black Friday! I did stop at a gift store around the corner from my sister's place on our way home from VA, but there were no crowds there. No bargains either, but I'm afraid that didn't stop me from shopping!

Me too!!! Just trying to get to my office and seeing all the cars ALREADY in the parking lot freaked me out this morning. Some people were there before I even got up! :P

I know! Besides the box stores opening at 4, 5 or earlier here, the mall opened at 6am. My family left at 8 to shop and left me in the hotel; I got up at 8 and had a nice quiet morning - much better in my view!

I went to the mall after the big rush. Got some clothing. :)

Big crowds really scare me.

I have to agree - I don't do real well in big crowds! :( I'm glad that you were able to find some things and that it wasn't completely crowded when you went. :)

Wonderettes
I just saw the show -- totally delightful! You'll have a Marvelous time. But, no, I can't believe you're flying in for only one day. The offer always stands for you to stay out here, you know.

Re: Wonderettes
YAY for having seen the show!! :D :) I can't wait to see it!! And you're always SOOOO sweet to offer me a place to stay, Linda! But I have to admit to having a love affair with the food in and around the hotel I stay at in Burbank. ;) Big HUGS to you!!
