So, yesterday was Mark's birthday. :)
Now begins the half of the year that I love - the half that Mark cannot tease me about being older than he is. :) To celebrate this wonderful occasion, I took him to Hiroshi's (an incredible Eurasian Tapas restaurant in Restaurant Row) :) for a birthday dinner on Saturday night. :) He ordered the filet with seared fois gras and I had a REALLY good veggie pasta. Mark really enjoyed the dinner and said it was one of the best eating experiences of his life so far. :) I have to admit, Hiroshi's is incredible - there is really nothing you can order on the menu that isn't fabulous! :D

Here's Mark with his filet. :)

We had three desserts! :) We're really dessert people! :)

Also, because my life has pretty much been revolving around planning my latest NYC trip, I finally have my theatre schedule all figured out. And due to the extra days in the city, I had a little more time to see some shows I REALLY wanted to see... :)

Happy birthday to Mark. I could see how Mark could say that's one of the best food experiences in his life so far. :)

I'm glad you got the NYC trip all hammered out. It looks like you'll be having a lot of fun on that trip. If I could afford it, that would be so much fun to join you for a couple days. I'll just have to live through your wonderful entries and pictures of your trip instead. :P

Happy Birthday to Mark! Dinner looks scrumptious!

I see you've got Seth's Broadway Chatterbox in there a few times. Have you been before? I don't know anything about it...

Can't wait to see you - pretty soon we'll be able to say "next month!"

Thank you, Robin!! I will certainly pass along your sweet birthday wishes to Mark!! :)

And I was going to ask you if you wanted to join me for Seth's Broadway Chatterbox on Thursday before "In The Heights". I was hoping that his guests might include a certain cast from a certain Broadway show opening that week... :)

Please let me know!!

HUGS!! And I can't wait to see you!!

That sounds like fun - it would be nice if he did have the cast you are hoping for!!!

There is a slim chance that I won't be there in time, but I don't think it's very expensive, right? Do I have to get a ticket ahead of time?
Sheri: Kevin as Bill in Applauseshutterbug93 on August 3rd, 2008 07:15 pm (UTC)
It's not expensive at all - just $10 at the door and then a two drink minimum. :) And thankfully there are no advance ticket sales - they are only charged at th door. Hope you'll be able to join me!!

Sounds good. Jeff and I did request tickets for a taping for that night, and if I get them I would miss Seth's, but I'll probably be free.

And I cannot believe the number of shows you'll be seeing in so little time! You'll need a vacation after this trip!
Sheri: Kevin as Billy Bigelow in shutterbug93 on August 6th, 2008 08:04 am (UTC)
Haha!! I will SOOO need a vacation after my vacation. :) And please don't worry about Seth's... I think I may not go after all that evening. I may opt to try to catch the "red carpet" (such as it is) at the Tale of Two Cities Opening Night... and then head over to meet up with you for "In The Heights". Please don't let it ruin your show taping plans!!

What a minute! Mark's birthday was July 28th? That's my hubby's birthday too! Happy belated birthday to Mark!

And you'll be in NYC for 10 days? I'm super jealous! You are going to see 13 twice? I'm looking forward to your report. I heard Mary Poppins' Henry Hodges will be in the cast too.

Holy cow!! This is almost scary how much we have in common! :) How funny that both our hubbys have the same b-day!! :D

And whew... yeah, NYC was stretched to 10 days! I'm SOOOOO excited to see all the shows, all the friends who are meeting me there, and of course, Bets & Kevin. :)
