Work is still going pretty well - which surprises the heck out of me. Amazing what a change of attitude there has done for my production report... Hopefully that'll put an end to my big boss' "Is Sheri feeling alright?" questions.
My Mom loved the arrangement of flowers that we sent her for her birthday and she did her usual "You should've saved your money!" But I know she really enjoyed getting them :). She told me that she was gushing to the delivery girl and thanking her for them and the girl had a look on her face like - "I didn't buy them for you, I just delivered them". :) I can't explain how nice it is to see my Mom so happy.
And lastly, I saw the most heartbreaking sight as I went to fill in gas today. At the stoplight by the gas station an old man (in his 70's or so) was walking up to cars in the hot sun and trying to sell a bunch of bananas he was holding (and on the wall behind him was a whole box of them.) No one bought any and I just felt bad for him - usually I don't pay much attention to people selling things on the side of the road, but he didn't look desolate or dangerous or anything - all he looked was sad that no one would buy anything from him and some people were just trying to ignore him. If I had stopped at the light I would've bought a bunch... poor man... :(
