A Very Fuzzy Halloween Post
-- by Cooper B. Dog

So, it's been about a month since I came to live with my new family and I have certainly grown a lot during that time (I'm 5 pounds now!) I have also learned some valuable life lessons this month that I thought I'd share with you all (things like the shower is NOT a good place to want to inspect when it's on...)

But, on to the fuzzy pictures...

It's been a good three or so weeks of living with Mark & Sheri. I think I've been training them pretty well. ;)
As you can see, I am getting MUCH bigger. My ears don't do the "bend forward"
thing anymore, but that's okay, because Sheri believes in natural ears...

Sheri always knows when I've been up to mischief. :)
Can you see that guilty look on my face? Wonder what it is I did?

Oh yeah, I forgot about that... That could explain it! ;)
Sheri's suitcases always taste SOOO good, though. YUMMO!!

What I haven't been able to understand is Mark & Sheri's fascination
with the computer... Really, it doesn't seem interesting to me at all...

...In fact, after just a few minutes, I was bored out of my mind!
I just don't get the attraction!!

Remember how that scale used to be my favorite sleeping place?
It's getting a bit small for me lately...

One of my nemesis, I found, was an old machine they call a vacuum...

Mark & Sheri just can't understand why I must bark and attack it...
Whenever it's around, I have to keep a close eye on it! I just know it's up to no good!

So here's my lesson learned: don't try to examine the shower, especially when
it's on... I learned the hard way. ;)

And of course, no Halloween post is complete without a costume photo.
Yeah, Sheri thought this was amusing... but I'm not so happy about it. ;)
Hot dogs are NOT fuzzy, I kept telling her, but she wouldn't listen. :P

Have a safe and happy (and fuzzy, of course!) Halloween, everyone!!

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! SO CUTE!!! The costume is about the cutest thing I've ever seen!!!
Sheri: Cooper01shutterbug93 on November 2nd, 2008 07:21 am (UTC)
Haha!! Thanks! :) I think it probably looks cuter on a short haired dog like a daschund, but I put it on Cooper anyway. ;) Mark & I got a kick out of seeing him walk around the house trying to bite the bun off. ;)

I showed the last photo to some people at work...hope you don't mind. ;-)

And a co-worker's bf's name is Cooper. "You're. Kidding," quoth she.

AHAHA! I don't mind at all. :)
zortrana: Do tellzortrana on October 31st, 2008 07:04 pm (UTC)
Dear Cooper:
Thanks for the update! My ears stand straight up too! In fact, zortrana claims she named me "Sprite" because I was all ears when she got me. She says Sprites are magical creatures with big ears, but everyone thinks I am named after a soda pop. Silly zortrana!
You look very happy with Mark & Sheri. That makes me happy, too. Except what is going on with that last picture? People are very strange sometimes. Zortrana has told Sam and I that we are NOT to bark all night tonight no matter how many times the doorbell rings. But isn't it our job to tell her that someone is at the door, especially if it ghosts, goblins, & witches?
Sheri: Cooper defaultshutterbug93 on November 2nd, 2008 07:26 am (UTC)
Dear Sprite,

I'd always wondered how you got your name!! How great that we have ears just like each other! :) I really like that picture of you in Zortrana's user pic, you're VERY cute!

And I have to agree with you - how can I NOT bark at all the scary creatures who come to our door on Halloween. Surely Sheri and Mark would think I wasn't doing my job if I didn't. ;)

Thank you so much for your comment, Sprite!!

Cooper :)

It was just too funny watching Cooper wiggle around and try to bite off the bun part of the costume! :D Poor Cooper! Being a member of the family means being subjected to silly photos... he's just now finding this out. ;)

oh my! the costume is awesome! he's soooo cute... oh and lucy agrees that the vacuum is foe not friend lol.
Sheri: Cooper01shutterbug93 on November 2nd, 2008 07:29 am (UTC)
Haha!! At first Cooper was afraid of the vacuum, then got bold and tried to attack it. I suppose he thought it was doing us harm. ;)

oh Cooper!! Aren't you the cute one?! Humans do have a very funny sense of humour.... dressing you up like a hot dog!!
Sheri: Cooper 02shutterbug93 on November 2nd, 2008 07:30 am (UTC)
Poor Cooper realizes that being a member of our family means being subjected to silly photos... Poor guy doesn't know what he's in for. ;)

Sheri: Cooper 02shutterbug93 on November 2nd, 2008 07:38 am (UTC)
Hehehe!! Poor Cooper didn't know what he was in for when he joined our family. ;) Being in our family means being subjected to embarrassing photos at times. ;)

Anyone who doesn't go"awwww" on some level is dead inside! VERY cute.

O.M.G!! I thought the yarning pic was cute but the last one is unbelievable!! Please tell Cooper I love his post!!
Sheri: Sheri & Cooper 01shutterbug93 on November 2nd, 2008 07:40 am (UTC)
Haha!! The yawning photo was my favorite - only because he really did look up at me like, "The computer's SOOO boring!!" ;)
Sabine: Micki's placesabine10 on November 2nd, 2008 11:43 pm (UTC)
I just saw this post and I love it. :) Please tell Cooper that he is adorable and very cute too - even wearing a Halloween costume. :) Micki too does not like the vacuum cleaner, but she does not bark at it but she always leaves the room. Since she not only leaves the room when I use the vacuum cleaner but as soon as I start cleaning, I suspect she is doing it because she fears that she has to help when she stays with me. ;)

Thanks for sharing the pictures! I'll go to bed with a smile now. And, who knows, perhaps a little Sheltie in a Halloween costume will be a part of my dreams. :) Big hugs and much love to all of you!
Sheri: Sheri & Cooper 01shutterbug93 on November 3rd, 2008 03:16 am (UTC)
Awww, thanks for the sweet comments, Sabine!! We're totally in love with Cooper, he's such a sweet dog! :D And yes, he wasn't too happy in the hot dog costume, but he will soon learn that being a part of the family means being subjected to embarrassing photos. ;)

And I had a good laugh about your comment about Micki running away when you start cleaning. :D Maybe Cooper isn't trying to attack the vacuum, maybe he's trying to help! ;)

Big HUGS and much love to you, Sabine!!
