It was one of the BEST eating experiences of my life!!! We walked into a private room and had our own private chef who cooked and plated the dishes right in front of us and we had our personal wine expert who spoke with us about the wine pairings for each of the 5 courses. It was AMAZING!!!
All my co-workers enjoyed it a lot and it was a REALLY nice way for our BIG boss to thank everyone for all the hard work they did in 2008. The only sad part was that we weren't allowed to invite our spouses.
We all waited in the lobby of the Grand Wailea for our car to pick us up to take us to
the Diamond Resort. (Me, Ana, Jo, and Lorrie)
Jo, Jillian, and Brent in the shuttle to the restaurant.

BIG boss, Steven, and Me!
Amuse Bouche - tomato soup with chili oil, pesto, and other things... lovely!!
1st Course - Anti-Pasta, Asparagus, Hearts of Palm, Green Beans in Fennel Thyme Vinaigrette
This was good - especially the asparagus - that was seasoned perfectly!!
2nd Course - Tomato and bufala mozzarella (everyone else had seared scallops) herb salad.
This was VERY good, especially the tomato and mozzarella!
3rd Course - Six Cheese Tortellini, Hana Fresh Tomatoes, and Aged Balsamic
BIG boss thought this was the best dish of the evening... I agreed with him up to this point.
The tortellini sat on another pasta square that was seared and fried crisp, the tortellini
was SOOOO tasty - it was amazing!!
4th Course - For me only, the chef prepared local mushrooms seared on the fire, over a white
bean salad, with truffle jus ---- AMAZING!!!
Now, I would've agreed with BIG boss on the other dish, IF I didn't have this dish next!
The mushroom was DELICIOUS! It was crispy and juicy, seasoned perfectly, and just THE BEST
vegetarian dish I have EVER had!! I totally didn't want it to end!
5th Course - Dessert! It was a warm chocolate cake with hot & cold strawberries, raspberry sorbet,
with a creme brulee spoon! This was an amazing end to an amazing meal!
The creaminess of the creme brulee spoon mixed so well with the rich, dark chocolate...
and the tartness of the sorbet just complimented the dish perfectly!! SO delicious!!
A group picture!! We're all happy and VERY full!! :)
It was definitely THE BEST gourmet dining experiences I've ever had! And it certainly added to the already VERY lovely weekend!!
