So I did it...
...I actually caved in to the iPhone peer pressure from Mark and got one. ;) I think Mark was a little more excited than I was yesterday when we walked into the Apple Store... He's been trying to get me to jump on the iPhone bandwagon for some time now - but just as he gets stressed about traveling - I get stressed about new technology... I spent yesterday setting up my phone and Mark's been trying to teach me the joys of the iTunes App Store... which I find interesting, but not addictive like he does.

I do like that I can check FB from anywhere... I also like that I can access a map with a GPS no matter where I am (and there's an App that allows me to locate - based on my location - the nearest veggie restaurant...) I think it'll definitely come in handy when I travel. :)

Other than that, as long as it plays my music, my video clips, and holds my photos, I'm happy. :) Oh, and calls... that USED to be my only criteria for a phone... how times have changed. :P I'm off to continue to set up my phone (it's taking A LOT longer than I thought!!) ;P

Hope you're all having a nice Sunday!! HUGS!

I am intrigued by the iPhone as well, but can't ever see myself jumping in to get one. I love that it can do so much, but then again, I don't want to turn into one of those people who can't leave their phone alone for five minutes. Haha! Mine rings and I can call out - and it has some other features that I never use. I am still in the ghetto though with the prepaid tracfone. But it works for now. :)

I like that your iPhone has a GPS though and some of the other things you mentioned. Maybe one day I'll take the plunge.

I totally agree with you - before this I was just happy with my phone that could call out and text... Though I do have to say, the iPhone is pretty neat... I really haven't explored everything that it can do yet... baby steps. ;)

Oh my gosh, I think I've turned into one of those people! ;)

That would totally be me. :D Especially with being able to access FB and several other sites...yep. I'd be doomed.
there would never be anyone for me but you: nuke3jessnic85 on March 15th, 2009 09:56 pm (UTC)
Oh, how cool! :D Our cell plan is through Verizon, which doesn't service the iphone, so I doubt we'll be switching over anytime soon, but it still sounds like a lot of fun. (Hehehe, I wonder if the GPS will help to navigate the ship? ;) I'm certain we are going to get lost on that thing! LOL!)

Hahaha!! I hope so! I'm SURE I'll get lost on that ship! It's HUGE! :) But it's really neat, and once I filled the phone with all my Michael songs and video clips, I bonded with it a lot more. ;)

I've been intrigued by iPhone and/or iTouch too but I'm afraid of new technology also and my hubby isn't tech geek like yours either LOL. I have to teach him how to use the laptop etc. so I'll be soooo lost if I get a new toy. However, I'm very intrigued by a mini-laptop (you know 9 or 10 inch screen one).

It's pretty neat... after playing with it all weekend I have to say that it definitely has a use for folks who travel a lot. There's a flight tracker app to keep track of flights and will show up to date gate changes and status - which is nice. :) I think I'm a bit addicted to it,... which I never thought I would be. :P
