So...I'm sick again...
I can't quite explain it, but it seems that I never fully got over the cold/flu that I've been fighting for a couple of weeks now. My co-worker (who I love, don't get me wrong!) brought her daughter in to work the other day (who was told she couldn't stay at school because she had fifths disease and was contagious). Thankfully, I don't think I've contracted that...

But I did have a fever and body ache today, so instead of running the risk of infecting my office, I tried my hardest to work from home... Thankfully this weekend is a relaxing one so I should be able to get this thing out of my system by Monday. What's odd is that I feel like I've been sick off and on for a LONG time... since I came back from my cruise almost (when I had that 102 degree fever that wouldn't go away for 3 days...) I shook the fever, but the other cold-like symtoms have stayed with me... :P Must be all the crazy traveling I've been doing. Thank goodness it's done... the traveling, that is.

Been held up in the house for a while... so I got addicted to "The Battery's Down" - a YouTube musical series about an actor living in NYC. It's hysterical and has guest appearances from tons of broadway performers. Michael is in the first episode, playing himself at a call-back audition Jake attends for a mock "Ferris Bueller" musical and is seen again in a cameo at the end of season 1: Apparently getting the role and coming out of "Ferris Bueller" rehearsals in the "This is my life" montage. :) SOOO funny! I'm SO addicted to the show! :D

On a non-theatre note, most of my Nuke friends are in Florida this weekend attending another Van/Jake event. While I would've thought that I would feel envious of those going and wish I was there,... I honestly kinda... don't. I mean, don't get me wrong... I love my Nuke friends and I would LOVE to see them all again - not to mention Van, but unlike the need I feel to sometimes try to see certain shows with certain performers, I don't feel like I have to be at every Van and Jake event... I hope that everyone who goes has a great time and I look forward to hearing about it, but oddly, I don't feel like I'm missing out.

Finally, I guess Paper Mill announced their casting for The Full Monty next month... I was surprised to see Allen E. Read had been cast as Malcolm - who played Rocky Dennis in Mask at Pasadena Playhouse a couple of years ago. Man, could that guy belt!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!! I'm off to HUG my fuzzy dog (who is currently lying across my back as I type this!) :)

Oh no, not sick again? I hope you're feeling better really soon and can get some down time so your body can get the rest it needs.

I'm not sure what it is... for some reason, I just can't shake whatever it is I have. :P I think that I get to the stage where I'm almost over it, and then I catch something else. At least I didn't contract fifths disease. :{ I think I need a weekend to just recouperate. Thanks for your comment!!

Feel better soon!! That sucks that you can't shake the cold. I've certainly had that experience (see: February of this year), so I know how miserable it can be. Take care of yourself this weekend, and I hope it's all gone by weekend's end.

I will have to check out that show you mentioned. Sounds interesting!

Thanks!! I know you had an awful experience with being sick recently as well... :P It's been an awful cold/flu seaso this year. :P

"The Battery's Down" is hysterical and there's a lot of inside theatre jokes and cameos of broadway performers. :) The only episode that I found even remotely offensive was the episode in which Jake gets cast as a deaf character and doesn't have the time to learn ASL before the performance. Some things about that episode pushed the envelope of good taste, but it is still a funny show.

I'm very sorry to hear that you are feeling sick again. I remember the first time you felt sick and to me too it seems to be long time. Perhaps you went back to work too early and I don't want to worry you but, have you seen a doctor? Every time I seem to have something similar like a cold or a cold, everybody tells me not to wait too long to go to a doctor since it shall not be so good if you are having cold-like symptoms for a longer time. So far I've been lucky, no doctor because it was always gone after a week. I'm hoping you are feeling better soon! Please take care of yourself, Sheri! Big hugs to you. :)

Thank you for your comment, Sabine!! I am feeling a great deal better today (well, much better than yesterday at least which is a great thing!) :) And no, I haven't had the chance to get to the doctor yet... I'm hoping that I'll be able shake whatever this is this weekend. :P Thanks so much for your comments!! HUGS and love to you!!
