But I did have a fever and body ache today, so instead of running the risk of infecting my office, I tried my hardest to work from home... Thankfully this weekend is a relaxing one so I should be able to get this thing out of my system by Monday. What's odd is that I feel like I've been sick off and on for a LONG time... since I came back from my cruise almost (when I had that 102 degree fever that wouldn't go away for 3 days...) I shook the fever, but the other cold-like symtoms have stayed with me... :P Must be all the crazy traveling I've been doing. Thank goodness it's done... the traveling, that is.
Been held up in the house for a while... so I got addicted to "The Battery's Down" - a YouTube musical series about an actor living in NYC. It's hysterical and has guest appearances from tons of broadway performers. Michael is in the first episode, playing himself at a call-back audition Jake attends for a mock "Ferris Bueller" musical and is seen again in a cameo at the end of season 1: Apparently getting the role and coming out of "Ferris Bueller" rehearsals in the "This is my life" montage. :) SOOO funny! I'm SO addicted to the show! :D
On a non-theatre note, most of my Nuke friends are in Florida this weekend attending another Van/Jake event. While I would've thought that I would feel envious of those going and wish I was there,... I honestly kinda... don't. I mean, don't get me wrong... I love my Nuke friends and I would LOVE to see them all again - not to mention Van, but unlike the need I feel to sometimes try to see certain shows with certain performers, I don't feel like I have to be at every Van and Jake event... I hope that everyone who goes has a great time and I look forward to hearing about it, but oddly, I don't feel like I'm missing out.
Finally, I guess Paper Mill announced their casting for The Full Monty next month... I was surprised to see Allen E. Read had been cast as Malcolm - who played Rocky Dennis in Mask at Pasadena Playhouse a couple of years ago. Man, could that guy belt!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend!! I'm off to HUG my fuzzy dog (who is currently lying across my back as I type this!) :)
