I'm honestly having one of those weeks where on Monday I felt, "Maybe I can actually be happy at my job..." I felt productive and happy and honestly like I was helping people - which I haven't felt in a VERY long time... only, of course, to discover that the feeling abruptly ended on Tuesday after getting a call from BIG boss... I really think BIG boss is a great man with a good heart and great vision, but sad to say, he can definitely deflate a person's enthusiasm quickly. :P
But enough about work,... I watched "Bride Wars" again tonight, gazed at some great pictures of Kevin from the Leading Men concert, and spent some quality time with my fuzzy puppy... if that isn't enough to re-gain my enthusiam and my optimism, I don't know what is. ;)
This weekend is a pretty busy one, on Saturday, Mark & I are meeting up with some friends of mine from high school who I haven't seen in at least 8 years. The odd thing is that we were never friends in high school (though we all attended the same school...) it was only after high school when we all worked together part time at HONSPORT (a local chain sporting goods store - that no longer exists) that we all got really close. That's the wonderful thing about Facebook - I never would've gotten back in contact with them without it.
Then, on Saturday evening, Mark & I are taking my Mom to dinner at Hiroshi's and then taking her to the evening performance of "Mamma Mia". It's the first National Tour (Equity) that we've gotten in a LONG time here in the islands... and at first, we weren't going to see it, until I found out my friend Katy was in the cast, then I just had to buy tickets. :) It's kind of a late Mother's Day gift for my Mom. :) We're hoping she likes it.
And on a last note... YAY for Van's Daytime Emmy nomination this morning! :) I just can't say how excited I am for him. He was CLEARLY robbed two years ago for the Younger Actor Emmy, so I'm hoping that he'll win it this year. :)
I'm off to spend more time with my fuzzy puppy... Hope you all have a lovely Friday!!
