Countdown to the wedding...
...and our Sacramento trip: 4 days! :)

This is clearly going to be the longest week ever... BIG boss has gone off the deep end requesting reports, I have early morning branch trainings everyday this week, and if that's not enough... I still need to find a decent pair of shoes to go with the dress I'm wearing to the wedding on Saturday. :P

But, life is good... an entire weekend trip WITH my hubby will be an amazing thing! We rarely ever travel together, but I really cherish the times that we do. :) He has not met any of my work people in Sacramento, but I'm sure he'll love them all! :) He even brought out his suitcase and started packing and I have yet to see him show any signs of his usual travel stress... we'll see. ;)

Add to that conversing with the lovely folks over at Musical Theatre Guild (I swear, they are the nicest people ever!) on web stuff that I'm working on for them. Not sure if I mentioned it here, but I had to stop accepting new web clients late last year... It got to be too much, with my full time job and all the extreme demands of BIG boss lately - and to be fair to the clients I already have, I just decided it was enough. On the extremely bright side to all of this - the current clients that I have are incredible, incredible people and I would hate to neglect them in favor of seeking new jobs.

Finally... if anyone has any suggestions for a show to see on a Sunday matinee on May 24th - I'm open to them!! I had a hard time trying to decide about our last show that we're seeing in LA during our short stopover this weekend. I initially wanted to see "BIG", but then it sold out on GS, so I thought we could see "Little Foxes" at Pasadena Playhouse, but that seems to have been sold out on GS as well. :P Your suggestions are so appreciated!! :)

Back to work on web stuff... Hope you all are having a nice week!! HUGS!

First, check LAStageTix. They are an alternate source of half-price tix, and may still have some of Goldstar is sold out or the show isn't listed on Goldstar.

If you didn't have travel time to contend with, I'd suggest "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" at Rep East in Saugus. Should be on Goldstar.

Otherwise, you might consider "Setup and Punch" at The Blank (only on LAStageTix) or "Breaking the Code" at The Production COmpany (again, the 1/2 price seem to be LAStageTix only).

Hi Daniel - one of the first things I usually do is check LAStage Tix & plays411. :) I actually used them for 1/2 price tix before I even knew about GS. :D I did see "Setup & Punch" offered at the Blank... that is a possibility. Though if we were going to Hudson, we may try to see Lowe in "Divorce: the Musical". We'll see. Thanks for your suggestions!

YAY! GS put up more discounted tickets for BIG so we're going to see that. :)

FYI: There's an Arts & Crafts Festival about 4 blocks away from the theatre. I know you're coming from a matinee (I seem to recall we got out around 5/530, but you might check with the theatre). The Chamber, when I called them, indicated that parking was tight around the theatre (they went last night, and arrived 45m before the show). There evidently is a restaurant about a block away with a large parking lot. In any case, just wanted to give you a heads up about the festival.

Thanks for the heads up, Daniel!! We'll have to allow extra time for that - I don't think it should be a problem if we came straight over from BIG. :) See you guys on Sunday!! :D

Note that it also looks like Sunday is the LA Marathon. It doesn't look like the course route is near the theatre, but you might encounter some residual as you go from Hollywood to Hermosa Beach, depending on your route.

Go for one for two shows deal! East West Players is playing "Last 5 years" AND "Marry Me A Little" (each one act show) and it's on GS! I'm going to see next month :)

It was 101 degrees last Sunday in Sacto :( It's cooler now, so hopefully you will be fine this weekend. Sorry I'll miss you. We'll go to Santa Cruz for the weekend. Have a wonderful time in No Cal and So Cal!

Ah yes, EWP!! Perhaps we'll try to catch that double feature. :) Read lots of good things about those productions from SS review. :D

WOW... 101 in Sacramento? :( Thankfully it will be a little cooler when we get there. :) Sorry to miss you AGAIN! :( Have a great time in Santa Cruz. :)
