All the workers at Curves...
...almost fell over when I walked in the door today. :P It's been a whole month since I went to work out - and honestly, I felt if I didn't get back there soon, I'd keep making excuses NOT to go - and that would just be bad of me. At first the excuses were pretty legitimate - like really bad headaches, etc... but then the excuses became things like "I need to go home and check my email"... :P I know, pretty lame, right?... So I bit the bullet and went back today. :P Because I've skipped a whole month, I feel like I'm starting all over again, but this time from a heavier weight (can't ignore all the birthday eating I did recently... :P)

Spent the evening with Mark trying to figure out which shows all the songs that Kevin sang at the Mother's Day concert came from. Yes, my life is oh-so-exciting. :P Surprisingly, it was actually Mark who wanted to know. I think I've finally converted him into a Musical Theatre fan. :)

And I made a weird discovery this morning - Sydney snores. :P I thought it was Mark, until I looked around to find that Mark had fallen asleep downstairs on the couch last night and the one making the snoring noises was actually Sydney. It wasn't really loud or anything, but it was definitely snore-like. :P

And lastly, an old friend from the Jaycees came into the bank to talk to me today - apparently the organization is not doing as well as they "seem" to be from the outside. It's sort of sad to hear, but after all the years of service I put in, I've had to distance myself from it (and all the politics that go along with it) a while ago. I'm sort of glad that it's not really a big part of my life anymore - but I feel bad for a few of my friends for whom it still means the world... :(

my cat snores too, but almost unnoticabale, it's a neat little sound. And sometimes she sighs in her sleep :)))

Ohhh, four weeks without workout....the first workouts after that are a horror! That's why I try not to take too long breaks (my only breaks are when I am away on holidays). Good luck - keep it going.

I need to workout or something.

I go today :)

I find that I have a lot less stress and generally feel less "blah" when I workout. Also helps to cure my awful insomnia that I always used to have - I can sleep at the drop of a pin now. :)

Sydney will sigh sometimes too. :) Ah - pets are just so cute!

And yeah, that first workout was pretty bad! But I'm glad I'm getting back into it, though. Thanks for the luck, I think I'm going to need it. :)

That's great that you're getting back into the routine for working out. I walk back and forth to work on my lunch hour and at least I have that mile in every day. So, I don't feel bad if I skip the Taebo or not do anything else for that day.

Thanks, Amanda. :) I just hope that I'll be able to keep it up. :P And I still find it so great that you walk to and from work every day on your lunch. I wish my work place was situated in an area where it would be feasible for me to do that too.

My foster cat Mona snores,too.
Glad you got back in the gym! I need to get back myself!
I haven't been in almost two weeks.*sighs* I could 'see' a
little progress, but now it's all gone. I have been eating with
my boyfriend...he can eat anything he wants.

That's so cute that Mona snores. :) Any news on her possible adoption?

And isn't it irritating how men can eat anything they want? I just look at food and I gain weight! :P And I'm glad I'm getting back to the gym too - I've really needed it lately! Hope you're having a great week, Katie! :)

I hope your ankle feels better so you can go back soon. :) And actually, Angie, reading your posts about how excited you were to be going to Curves really helped to inspire me to go back. :)

And it was hilarious when I found out it was Sydney snoring. :) I love my dog! :)
