I haven't written an entry in a while...
...I've been too consumed with the Kevin/Dave site thing - I'm really kind of one track minded that way. Rest assured, only one reference to the Kevin site stuff tonight and I'll post about real life from now on... Dave's site officially went online today. He thanked me for the things he took from my site and improved the content of his site by 100% over the not-ready-to-go-live version I've been looking at for the past few weeks. He also sent me a nice email and really I've come to realize that we both want only the best for Kevin and his career - and since we're both working toward the same goal, it would be in everyone's best interest to work together. :) In case anyone is interested the URL to Dave's site is: www.kevinearley.com (yes, I didn't make it a link for a reason) ;) It looks a million times better than what he had up before and I'm just glad that this whole thing is over and I can get in some quality LJ time again! :D

I promise, that's the end of my Kevin web site babble... until the next crisis, that is... :P

There were a bunch of sirens in the neighborhood a couple of hours ago... and I smelled a lot of smoke so I asked Mark if he could go outside to make sure that it wasn't one of our neighbor's houses that was on fire... :P I don't know where the fire was, but luckily it was no one that we knew.

Mark bought the new Silent Hill game and is right now sitting in the dark playing it... It's been a while since he's gotten in the video game mood, I was beginning to think he outgrew it... :P I guess I won't be seeing him much for the next few nights... :P

My friend at work said that her home computer got infected with that horrible virus last night. :( She said that she called tech support and they told her that they probably couldn't get to her that night because they had enough people on hold to last them into the next morning. :P So she spent the entire evening without a computer... I can't even imagine that. :P I was afraid to go home and turn on mine for fear that I'd be left computer-less... and I'd be totally lost! :P

I think it's really cool that you take time out of your day to make a page about Kevin. He should feel really special. :) You do such a good job too. :)

I still play video games at times. :P I'm a geek I know. :)

Thanks, Carrie. And I am still down about the site going online but I've decided the best thing to do about this whole thing is embrace it and go on and keep working on my site as I always have. :) Hard work, heart, and dedication have to count for something, right? I am fortunate that Kevin and his brother have been so willing to include me and work with me on all of this though. What do you think of Dave's site?

I enjoy a few video games myself... but Mark is a fanatic! He'll sit in front of his TV forever, seasons will change, and he's still playing his game. :P And for the record, you are not a geek. :)

Hope you're feeling better this morning. :)

I can see why you're down about the other site going online. I mean didn't Dave take all the stuff you worked so hard on and put it up on his site? If he did, that's not fair. His site is okay I suppose. It doesn't fit my screen too well. Hard to see all the navigation. I still love yours though. :)

Thank you Sheri, I am feeling a little better this morning. :)

Thanks, Carrie for your nice words about the site. The one really beautiful thing that Dave has up is sound clips of Kevin. :) Though I have to say that Kevin's voice has improved a lot more since those clips were recorded (back in Jan 2001). :)

Glad to hear you're feeling a little better today. :)

Tom's usually a PS2 fanatic, but he hasn't touched his in quite a while, either. he still has to beat Silent Hill 2, though, before he buys the new one.

:) I didn't see Mark for weeks after he bought his PS2. He can be rather intent on getting to the end of his games. Once he spent the whole weekend playing, didn't bother to turn on any lights in the house and forgot to eat, even... (As you could probably guess, I was out of town...) ;) He used the gift card I'd gotten him for his birthday to get the game... to think, I'm just encouraging his fanatic behavior! ;)

I am totally lost without my computer too! Shutting it off for the night before I realized this virus didnt hit Windows 98 was the hardest thing I had to do. LOL I go through withdrawals! Geez.
Sherishutterbug93 on August 13th, 2003 08:48 am (UTC)
I totally understand the withdrawals! Once my monitor broke and I asked Mark to come with me to CompUSA that night so I buy a new one... :P I'm totally lost without my computer...

Yes, and I already missed you. :)

I'm glad to see that Dave mentioned your site. To me - Dave's site looks good - but I prefer your site. Can it be that your site has got more informations? But I finally heard Kevin's voice in the song "People will say We're in Love" (the links to the other songs didn't work to me) and I've to say that he really has got a great voice.

Oh, an evening without computer - how bad. I think I would get withdrawal symptoms and would go to bed already at 10:00 pm. :)

Wish you a nice rest of the week. :)

Awww Sabine, you're such a sweetie! :) THANK YOU for your nice words about my site. :) And thank you for listening to Kevin's sound clips... isn't his voice wonderful? I have to say that the clips on Dave's site are a bit higher than I'm used to hearing him sing - he's usually got a much deeper baritone - *SIGH*.

Have a nice rest of your week too. :) *big HUGS* :)
