My not-so-green thumb, wedding flowers, and a sad end to a reality show...
One of my co-workers is on vacation this whole week and she left her precious plant in my care while she was gone... Bad idea! :( I'm not good with plants at all... :P And I swear I watered it before I left work on Friday, but when I came in this morning it was a wee bit... dead... :( Luckily it seemed to semi-revive itself after I watered it this morning, but it's only the second day of my co-worker's vacation - and MUCH too early to be killing her beloved plant... :P

My friend Susan is on vacation this week and taking some time off to plan her wedding. She emailed me a link to a photo of the bouquet she was thinking of for me and I ADORE it! It's so gorgeous! Here's a photo of it:

And okay, so I finally saw the final episode of "Boy Meets Boy"... and I have to say that I was completely upset that Franklin was straight.... I was hoping he wasn't because he just seemed to have so much emotion for James... And I feel really bad that James was tricked the way he was, but I feel a little sorry for Franklin who I felt was unjustly vilified at the expense of the "twist" the producers wanted in order to get higher ratings. I do think the one thing the show did was bridge a lot of gaps between stereo-types and really showed everyone that gay or straight we're all looking for the same thing - someone to love and for acceptance. I may not have liked the way the producers went about it - but I'm glad that the show left the audience with such a positive message.

On a real life note (for a change, huh?) - it's less than two weeks before I'm in LA again with Mark and I'm SO excited to be traveling with him. :) We've been planning all the shows that we want to see and all the places we're going to have to go to eat (Cheesecake Factory, Claim Jumper, In -n- Out Burger, Applebee's... the list goes on and on of places we HAVE to go because they don't have them here...) :( It will also be nice to spend some quality time away from the stresses of everyday life with Mark - really, he's my best friend and we have so much fun when we travel together. :) I can't wait! :)

And lastly, I wanted to thank you all for your kind words about Misty's site - it really meant a lot to me that you took the time to look and comment on something that I've spent so much time on. I've decided to publicize the link and hopefully Misty won't think it's too awful. :P Hope everyone has a great rest of your week. :)

I'm not good w/plants either. :P That bouquet is absolutely gorgeous. :) I didn't end up watching the Boy Meets Boy thing. It's sad what people will do for ratings huh? You don't have any of those places around you? Poor thing. :/ I guess we are spoiled in California now aren't we?

I think last night I was so upset at the treatment of the show - the way they cut Franklin's explanation and how they edited the final episode to make Franklin look like the bad guy really brought my enjoyment for the other episodes down. :( And that the producers would exploit someone's emotions like they did James really hasn't sat well with me at all... :( But yeah, appalled as I was by the bad treatment they all got, I still tuned in - so that must tell you something about human nature... :P

And no Applebee's, Cheesecake Factory (though we're getting one next year!) :), In -n- Out Burger, or Claim Jumper - or even Olive Garden! :( I usually have to get my fill when I go there! :)

I am usually SO bad with plants too! I have one plant outside and even a box of flowers now that I havent killed, and Im shocked! Ive had the plant for like 2 years (which is a record for me) and the flowers for a few months, its amazing. LOL

I wish I watched Boy Meets Boy - I just never remembered when it was on. There are SO many shows Im addicted to! Its sick! LOL

Let me know if you have any free time when you are here... I love to eat and love all those places you mentioned - lol - so if you have an ounce of free time maybe I could meet you for lunch or dinner. :)

You've done much better with plants than I ever have! Two years is great! :) I warned my co-worker that I was horrible with plants, but she left it with me anyway. :( I have 4 days left to keep it alive, hopefully it'll survive. :)

I will definitely let you know about this upcoming trip! :) I'll have to talk with Mark and see what we have planned - but I'd love to finally meet you! :)

I'm not good with plants either. It is always a 50/50 deal with me.
Do you know what kind of plant it is? I could ask my sister for tips on revival, she can grow anything! Your bouqet is gorgeous. Is your dress picked out yet? Is she having real flowers or silk flowers? When I got married, my sister and I made all of the bouqets in silk flowers, I still have mine packed away. It added a little stress, but brought the cost way down! It's funny you mentioned eating at Applebees we have one here and hardly ever go there! Your vacation sounds wonderful! I love traveling with my hubby too!

I'm so bad I can't even tell you what kind of plant I'm taking care of. :P And isn't the bouquet beautiful? :) We haven't gone dress shopping yet, so I'm not sure what she has in mind - all I know is I'd better get my butt back to Curves soon so I can fit into the dress that she chooses. ;) And the silk flowers are a great idea! Though, I think she may be looking at real flowers for the wedding. And although I like traveling with my friends, traveling with hubby is always the best! :)

That bouquet is really nice!

I have never watched a reality show except for the first season of The Real World, but Tom and I watched the "fake" reality show Joe Schmo last night and really liked it!

Thanks! :) I was a huge fan of the first season of Real World. :) I think that was the reality show that set the stage for all these shows we've been having recently. I think I've given up my reality TV watching - especially after Boy Meets Boy - maybe I'm still a bit bitter, but that was a rotten thing for the creators of the show to have done... :(
