My Mom is finally Online! :)

After about and hour or so of explanations (a lot of note taking by my Mom) and one or two "I'm never going to get this, Sheri", I think my mom has finally gotten the hang of the internet. :) Mark & I delivered his old laptop to her today and I sat with her while she learned to send and receive email and how to search the internet. :) I must say, she caught on rather quickly for someone who was deathly afraid of getting a computer. And when I got home she had already sent me two emails and told me that she went to my Kevin site to read more about him. :) Gotta love my Mom - she's the best! :)

After going to my Mom's house, Mark & I went to Kuru Kuru to eat sushi. :) Somehow the sushi wasn't as good as it was the first time I went with Susan, and I'm not entirely sure why. Maybe it was because we were there at an odd time, it wasn't crowded and the sushi on the conveyor belt wasn't as fresh as the ones Susan and I ate the night we went. I still ate 5 plates, though... and Mark ate six and really got addicted to the coffee jello he ate - though it was so strong that I told him he probably wouldn't be able to blink for several hours and he could just forget about going to sleep tonight. :P

I stayed away from my sites this weekend (a little self imposed vacation) the only thing I did was go in and fix several things that Kevin had noticed looked a little wonky on his Netscape browser (which I appreciated him telling me - the one person who should be able to view the site correctly is him, after all). :) Other than that, nothing web related.

Woo hoo! "Taken" won the Emmy for Best Mini-Series!! Okay, I know I'm WAY late in the news, but I didn't get a chance (with all the web stuff) to watch the Emmy telecast. :( Kevin had to tell me - how embarrassing is that? I felt pretty bad that I hadn't put anything on Julie Ann's site about it... :P I'm going to have to get used to doing TV research for her site from now on (and that's hard for an anti-tv person like me) and not just mill around the theatre boards anymore...

Speaking of theatre research, I was looking at some casting calls and I think Kevin would be perfect for the following: (the last time I did this he was cast in my first choice, Freddy in "My Fair Lady" - so I hope it happens again!) :)

1. Jaime in "Last 5 Years" at Laguna Playhouse. :) I'd give my left arm to see him in this show - not only because I love it, but heck - I want to finally see him in a Jason Robert Brown show! *SIGH*

2. Harold Hill in "Music Man" at South Bay. :)

3. Jean-Michel in "La Cage" at Musical Theatre West. I think he could still (with his boyish looks) play a character in his 20's... though he's starting to only be cast in older roles recently... I just want to hear him sing "With Anne On My Arm" *SIGH*

I don't care, I just want to see him in a long run of something great. There have been no good audition notices for almost the whole year - and all of a sudden there are tons that he'd be perfect for. :) I hope he gets cast in one of them. :)

I'm so pathetic. Enough of my theatre babble. :P I hope you all have a nice week. :)
