It was actually just nice to kind of relax and spend the day catching up on things. Sydney seems to be doing much better today. :) She isn't totally herself yet, for some odd reason, but she did eat today and she jumped on the couch several times so that's a good sign. Maybe I'm a little too paranoid when it comes to the dog, but I just couldn't bear it if something happened to her. :(
My in-laws are on their trip this week (to Texas) and won't be home for a while. No news on my mother-in-law, though I found out her surgery isn't on the 20th (Mark wasn't too sure of the date) - they won't even be home until the 23rd... And now I found out my Mom went in for some tests on her kidneys and had to get a scan the other day. Seems the doctors think it's something more serious than an infection since the antibiotics that they gave her didn't work. She finds out the test results on Friday - we're all just hoping it's nothing serious... What's with all the health stuff happening to my family these days? :(
Some theatre news (because it's a good escape) - Nick DeGruccio - man, he's everywhere - directing everything! :) I totally love Nick (again, the nicest, sweetest, warmest man I've ever met) and he's extremely talented but when I saw his name on casting notices for "Fantasticks" in Vancouver the same time as "Clutter" is running at the Colony AND "Scarlet Pimpernel" at Cabrillo which overlaps "La Cage" at Musical Theatre West I was thinking... "Huh?" ;) I'd love to see ANYTHING he directs, though - and I thought "Clutter" would be a good opportunity (though I think he said he might not be directing it when I talked to him in Laguna) since I'll be in LA in Feb to see Kevin in... well,...something. ;)
And a side note: Mark just killed one of those HUGE Hawaii cockroaches in our bathroom. :P Most bugs I can deal with, but the HUGE ass flying cockroaches we have here are disgusting! I usually call Mark to kill those. :P This one was about the size of a credit card - I kid you not! :P
