I have to say that I love my web design classes!
I just finished the first of the series of my web design classes today and for the first time I felt excited and honestly felt it was something that I could do for the rest of my life. I've never felt that way about anything to do with my banking job. There were about six of us in the class and it's a pretty comprehensive curriculum - I know Rayna was wondering about it a little. It seems to be well worth the money and the environment is a really positive one, it's very professional and the instructors are all very knowledgeable. I can't wait for the next series of classes and the opportunity to take my first CIW exam. :) The past two days have felt like a door that I didn't even know existed was finally opened. :) Liberating doesn't even begin to describe it.

And though she is doing much better, the vet wants to check Sydney for one more thing. She thinks that Sydney might have Leptospirosis. Chances are probably that she doesn't, but she wants to makes sure - since it can be transmitted to humans too. :P Her blood test results were okay, and shows signs that her liver is getting better. :) She's still a little anemic, though (I can hardly be surprised at all the blood they've taken from her recently.) But all in all she's doing much better. :)

This weekend Mark & I plan to take it easy and putter around the house a bit, and play with and enjoy Sydney's company. :) I'm also working on compiling a birthday gift for Kevin from the folks on the message board (and his friends who have acted with him this past year). I also plan to install Dreamweaver MX on my computer - yes, I finally broke down and decided to go with a Macromedia product. I plan to futz around with it this weekend, and if I really like it, transfer Kevin's site over... I can just imagine all the work involved, though so we'll have to see. :P

Hope everyone has a nice weekend. :)

Thanks, Carrie! :) I can't wait to take my other classes! I think it might've been the best investment that I made. I'm so excited about it. :) And Sydney is getting better. :) There are just some things about her blood work that they still can't explain. :P Hopefully they'll find out what it is soon... but she looks and acts like she's feeling A LOT better these days. :) Take care. *HUGS*

Studio MX rocks! That's all I've used for years now. 2004 is out now and def. worth it.

I played around with it a bit in class and I definitely like the interface more than GoLive. :) The floating palettes in GoLive are just irritating to me now. :P

you can dock and move and float those all over the place in DWMX, SWEET. Dont forget to visit the Exchange on Macromedia.com for all those free extensions to tweek the program.

I'm glad that you have discovered such a passion in web design. It's also very nice that there are only six people in your class, so you can get more direct attention.

That's very good news that Sydney is doing much better! Give her a big hug for me!! :)

Thanks, Tom! I feel like I finally found my calling in life. :) And I loved that the class was so small! My instructor was great too, even taking the time during lunch and during breaks to answer all of our individual questions. I felt like I got so much out of the class. :)

And thanks for all your good thoughts for Sydney! I will definitely give her a *HUG* for you. Please take care and *HUGS* to you and Amanda! :)

Enjoy your "puttering" sometimes that is the best way to spend a
weekend, it is usually relaxing. I am so happy your Sydney is doing
better! Nice to hear you are enjoying your class--maybe a new
career is going to happen! How exciting!!
