Now I can finally begin my weekend... :)
Supposedly the best thing about working when no one else on the island seems to, is that there isn't supposed to be any traffic. :P Unfortunately for me, I have the misfortune of working across the street from the largest shopping center on the island and there was traffic this morning - from all the shoppers trying to beat the crowd! :P

Work was slow, my boss left early and I almost fell asleep at my computer calculating commissions this afternoon after my heavy turkey left over lunch. :P And as if it wasn't bad enough that I had to work, today was our LONG day and the bank didn't close until 6pm... :P

On a more productive note, I finally mailed out Kevin's completed birthday gift today. I wasn't sure if I should send it to LA or NY... Luckily he was still in LA when I emailed him and he told me it'd probably be better if I sent it straight to NY since he'll be there by next week. Hope he likes the DVD we made. :)

And I managed to miss the entire Macy's Thanksgiving day parade this year. :( Last year I was so excited about all the performances I taped it, but somehow this new broadway season isn't really exciting me too much. I REALLY want to see "Wicked" and "Never Gonna Dance" (because of Noah Racey), but I'm kind of lukewarm about "Little Shop of Horrors" even though I love Kerry Butler and Hunter Foster. :P I just don't know why.

On a non-theatre related note, Mark found this site to determine how old your dog is based upon a series of health related questions. I took the test for Sydney and she turned out to be 26.1 years old in human years - a whole 10 years younger than her real biological age. It's kind of a neat site, those LJ friends with dogs should check it out. :)

*L* I'm making Jook right now. We didn't even have a lot of Turkey leftovers at all. I'll take yours. ;-)

I did manage to tape the Macy's Parade. I got to see Kristin in the show, when my sister mentioned to me when she was watching the video. It was good, I want to buy the cd, this month. I guess it would be a nice X-mas present to myself. I didn't bother going shopping, I've been rotting at home.

:D You're welcome to all of mine, I still have NO idea what to do with them. ;P :D

That's one thing that's definitely on my "to get" list - the "Wicked" CD! :) I still have that Tower gift card (remember the one I found from my birthday last year? :P) I should probably use it soon and I think that's what I'll spend it on. :)

And good choice about staying away from the malls yesterday - it was madness! :P

*LOL* Didn't find any new recipes you liked?

Yeeeeeep, I want to get the Wicked cd. Comes out the 16th, so that's a good thing to use your Tower's gift card for. WHO HOOOOO!

*L* I'm thinking of going out to Borders tonight or something else. I don't really know though, so we'll see.

Dude! I saw one performance from the parade! John Stamos on BROADWAY?! say WHAT?! I was like hey where's Uncle Jesse? :P ha ha ha I was waiting to hear "Havvve merrrcy!" LOL

Heehee :D I had similar thoughts when I heard that he was going into the cast of "Nine". ;) I think he was the emcee in "Cabaret" too a while ago but I shudder to think of him in that costume, though... :P

That site makes Tess out to be 66.2 years old, so it seems to think she's pretty healthy.

Those are great test results for Tess! :) I think it's a pretty interesting site, though and really made me think about certain things like taking Sydney walking more often. ;)

We missed the entire parade this year, too, and that's usually one of my most favorite things about Thanksgiving!

Thanks for the link about the dog year calculator. I'll have to check that out!

I am a little sad, after hearing others talk about it that I missed the parade this year. I'm usually glued to the TV and I usually tape it too!

The dog age site is pretty neat, except it never asked if Sydney had any major health ailments within the past year. :( Maybe if it did, her calculated age would've been much higher. :P

I'm sorry work went along so slow yesterday. :/ I saw a little bit of the parade. It wasn't that exciting really. That calculator is cool. I'll have to give it to Laura for Brock. :)
Sherishutterbug93 on November 29th, 2003 05:44 pm (UTC)
I was actually surprised that I wasn't that anxious to see it this year. But now that I read other people's reports on the performances, I'd wish I had seen it. Harvey Fierstein as Edna / Mrs. Claus? Wish I had seen that. ;)

And that puppy age calculator is really neat and a great way to determine the best way to keep your dog "young". :) I think it'll be great for Laura to find out how old Brock is. :)

And as if it wasn't bad enough that I had to work, today was our LONG day and the bank didn't close until 6pm... :P
Here the banks have got two long days - Monday and Thursday. First it only was the Monday and when it started the Monday was called "BALOMO" (bad long Monday) :)

Thanks for link to dog age test. I took the test and, according to them, Lauser would be 38 years. :)

Take care, please. *Hugs* :)
Sherishutterbug93 on November 29th, 2003 05:47 pm (UTC)
Oh - that would be bad if we had long Mondays here. :P At least the one good thing about our long Friday is that we have the weekend after that. :)

And yay! They said Lauser is 38 years old? That's great! :)

Please take care too and have a nice rest of your weekend. :) *HUGS*
