My "Merrier" Christmas post. :)

I called my Mom this morning and she seemed to be doing fine. The only thing was that she was embarrassed and feared getting the call from her doctor tomorrow and having to explain to him what happened. I told her it's much better to be embarrassed than ill. I hope this doesn't prevent her from calling us next time she thinks something's wrong.

Mark & I decided to do our Christmas gift giving to each other last night (before all that ER excitement) instead of waking up really early and doing it this morning before we head to the in-laws. Instead of just giving Mark his gifts, what I usually do is turn it into a game so he has to win his gifts. One year I did a scavenger hunt around the house with clues that led him to the next clue, which finally led him to his gift. The other year I did "Who Wants to be a Soap Opera Millionaire" (obviously when I was WAY into soaps.) :P And this year I did a "Broadway Jeopardy". :) He actually did pretty well and got all but one answer correct. :)

The funniest thing was that during the entire gift opening process, Sydney kept jumping on the couch, getting her nose into everything that was being opened. I really think she thought that all the gifts were for her. :D Talk about being the "princess" of the house! ;)

And speaking of Sydney, Mark received a phone call yesterday from the vet's office. Sydney's blood work came back from the vet appointment last week and she's officially been given the clean bill of health! Yay! No more medication for her! :) That was one of the nicest things we could've heard. :)

Mark enjoyed all his gifts and I LOVED my gift from him (which was the Season 1 DVD set of "West Wing") :) I came into loving the show a little late and this way I can catch up. :)

And of course, our big gift to each other this year is our upcoming NYC trip in February. :) I can't wait to go! This morning we're off to the in-laws for breakfast and then down to my Mom's house for dinner. We told my Mom that we'd pick up dinner on our way there so she wouldn't have to cook tonight, but she wouldn't have any of that. She's very stubborn and I felt that was one argument that I wasn't going to win! So instead, we're going there early so we can help her cook.

Have a Merry Christmas everyone! :) I'm off to visit the in-laws. :)
