And I just asked him about this last weekend...
...thanks to Lauren, I just found out that Kevin is going to be at Winterfest 2004 Sponsored by Broadway.Com next Thursday! Bah! I was there on the wrong weekend! I asked him if he was going to do it weeks before when I saw it on Broadway.Com, but back then he didn't even know what it was. I saw him last weekend and he mentioned it, but said he didn't know if he'd do it. I guess he is! Woo hoo! Too bad I picked the weekend before to be in the city! :(

In non-Kevin news, I think that I'm finally beginning to like my new job. The others in the office are WONDERFUL to work with and the atmosphere is really a great one. I finally feel as though I'm at least contributing something to their team (the view of someone who's been on the other side - in the field) and I think that's what made my first few days seem so grim (I didn't feel useful at all). The only problem is that they still have to find a position for me up there and I have 90 days to prove my worth so they can go to upper management to justify a new position for me.

I spoke with my boss today about the chances of a new position there and she honestly couldn't tell me if she thought they could afford one. She said if it were up to her and the rest of the staff they'd want me there, but upper management only sees the bottom line. :( It figures that I'd get to like my new job and they'd tell me there was no place for me. :P I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

The Acura girl didn't call me back with an estimate and I'm sort of worried about how much this will be costing me (especially after reading Tom's horror story). :P I know it was my fault and I feel bad, but I hope that this girl is decent and fair and doesn't try to take advantage of me in this situation. :P

Lastly, I really miss LA theatre! :( "Last 5 Years" will be closing (if it hasn't already) at Laguna Playhouse... "Clutter" opens soon at the Colony, "1776" at Performance Riverside... I love that Kevin's doing so well in NYC, but I'd want him back in LA... for purely selfish reasons. :P How horrible of me, huh? :P And when I talked with him last weekend he made it clear that he was going to try to make it work in NYC even after his "Millie" days are over. Talk about your mixed emotions! :P

Maybe she's not calling you because she decided not to pursue it? At least you can hope! :)

It's probably because it's the weekend and she can't get it looked at maybe.

Good luck!

Hopefully she'll decide not to pursue it. She hasn't called tonight either, but it's probably because she's busy and hasn't had time to get an estimate yet. Thanks for the luck, though - I think I'll need it!

You drove not fast and so it really only should be the bumper. What, perhaps, is the reason that she didn't call you, up to now. If nothing bad is happened, people here tend still to drive with the car for some days before they do something. The prizes of bumpers can vary - e. g. for my Renault Clio it only would cost so 500,00 Euro but for a BMW so 800,00 Euro, if you let do the work in a BMW or Renault repair shop. By the way, what kind of car is an Acura? Will your insurance pay the costs or do you have to pay it? Here it's so that we can choose it and, because you've to pay more money for your insurance if you had an accident and also need some time then until you get back to your old contribution, it's sometimes better when you pay the bill.

Of course, here also people try to get more money by saying that it's not only the bumper but an expert - and I'm sure that your insurance has got such people - is able to see and should be able to calculate if the other one tells lies. That is something what my dad and the one of my chefs are doing. :)

I'm glad that you are beginning to like your new job.

Wish you good luck and I'm crossing my fingers that everything turns out well.

Have a nice weekend. :) *Hugs*

I'm not sure if we're going to handle this through my insurance or not. I'm waiting for her to get the estimate. I'm hoping we can handle this without the insurance company getting involved, but I hope that I can afford it.

And thanks so much for the luck, Sabine, I think I'm going to need it! :)

I hope your weekend gets better. *HUGS*

I'm glad that you're taking such a liking to your new job. Why is it that every member of upper management seems to be only concerned with the bottom line, and not at all with everything it takes to get those results? I guess you have to be a chairperson to understand their philosophies.

I'm really sorry that my dad's story scared you!! :( Just remember, it eventually did have a happy ending!!

Upper management is all about the bottom line. :( Sometimes I wish I could get out of the corporate world and just open my own business... But then I wake up and see the mortgage and bills that need to be paid and I know I'll have to put up with it. :P

I'm hoping for a happy ending with my car story too! :)
