...I ache from head to toe! :P I finally decided (after almost 6 months and one location switch) to head back to Curves. While it was a much needed workout (since all the NYC weight I recently put on...) I think my age is finally starting to show. :P Muscles that I didn't even know I had ache. :P Sydney must've been wondering what was wrong with me when I practically crawled up the stairs this evening. :P I'm getting too old for this! :P

And I was in manapua and pork hash bliss today at work. My boss brought in some goodies from Chun Wah Kam and I realized that I could probably not eat anything else but that for the rest of my life and be happy. :) As a side note - I never worked at a place that had SO MUCH food around on a pretty constant basis! It's a good thing I've gone back to Curves! :)

Mark is downstairs right now playing with his new cell phone. He got an Erickson Z600 and hasn't been able to put it down all evening. He's handing down his old (not old because he just got it last year) phone to me - but I'm really happy with my relic of a phone. Really, all I need it to do is be a phone (and a reliable one).

On a soap note - strange as it was, I got a Chad Brannon postcard from Max today (the lady who handles Chad's fan mail). The reason it's so odd is that I haven't watched the show or been a fan of Chad's in over four years. How she got my address is weird, and even weirder is the fact that she'd send me a postcard of him... I'll have to ask gigglets about that.

Lastly, Jasmine sings tomorrow on "American Idol!" I can't wait to see her. She's definitely my pick to make it to the top three this year. :) I just hope she picks a great song. :)

Edit: Finally I have a Chad Brannon post and I deleted my Chad icon. Drat! :(

I'm sorry you are so sore. :( Your age isn't showing. It's normal to feel the burn after working out ya know? :) At least you are making a healthy change in your life. :D Feel good about that. You should be proud of yourself. :) Take care and I hope you feel better soon. *hugs*

Thanks Carrie! You've always been so supportive of me in my old age. ;) I am glad that I went back to Curves (no matter how much it seems like I'm paying for it now) :) *hugs* to you too!

Hope all of your aches and pains go away soon! Just think of all the calories you burnt, and all the muscle you gained! GO SHERI GO!

Yay Barb! I think I really needed this post after all my aches and pains yesterday. :) I've gone back with a renewed determination (we'll just have to see how long it lasts, though...) ;) Thanks so much for your comments. :)

if ever you need someone to motivate you to go to the gym when you don't want to, just give me a buzz. I'm a bit on the psychotic about working out. just remember, once the aches and pains subside, you'll start looking and feeling better. I love the endorphin high I get from working out, which is why I keep going....that and now I have several sets of fat pants (I lost around 10 pounds-ish in the last 8 months) which I love wearing because they're so much looser than they used to be.

Right you are about feeling better, though I may not have gotten to that stage yet. ;) I get into stages when I'm really motivated to work out - I'll go for a long time without a break, then I'll slack for months on end... I think it's great that you lost 10 pounds! :) That's my goal for the next few months. :)

BTW, I know that you're not much for driving home anymore... but I was wondering - I'm trying to get to NYC in May to see "Assassins" and wondered if you wanted to meet up to catch a performance together? Please let me know.

I'm sorry to hear about your ache. :( But it's truly not your age. If I stop riding only for a week I'll get sore muscles when I start again. I've to confess that I was glad to hear that that happens to the riding teacher, too. :) But I feel better when I do something.

Yes, you are right - seemingly, dogs don't understand that one can get sore muscles. I can see the question marks in Lauser's eyes then. :)

*Hugs* and I hope you feel better, soon.

Thanks Sabine. :) It's good to know that I'm not the only one who gets aches and pains every now and then from woring out. And it's true that I have a lot more energy in general when I work out. :) So overall I feel much better. :)

Big *HUGS* to you, Sabine. :) Hope you're having a nice week!

nah.. it's not old age.. it's from the workout.. I still get super sore after a workout! You should keep a regular schedule the first five weeks at least, then it won't be so hard!

I constantly see this on my gym membership card and it's oh so true: "Motivation is what gets you started, habit is what keeps you going!"

Ah! Five weeks! ;) Let's hope I last that long on my work out plan! ;)

I like that saying - and I have to agree. Once I miss a day of working out, it gets easier and easier for me to NOT go... That's the habit I fell into last time. I just have to get into the habit of going everyday. :)
