Weird sleep schedule!
I don't know what's wrong with my internal clock, but last night I fell asleep at 8pm as I was studying - which is not TOO much of a surprise since I was reading about municipal securities (Blech!). But then I woke up at 2am and haven't been able to fall asleep since. :P I have this feeling that I'll konk out again at about 10am and will sleep through until noon or so... UGH! :P Why can't I sleep like a normal person? :P

My boss left for our competitor yesterday. Turned in his letter of resignation, his pager and his laptop and left our company. There was a lot of crying and hurt feelings from people who were shocked by his sudden departure and it was a pretty emotional day all around. I'm happy that he'll be in a place that'll give him more opportunity, though - but we'll all miss him. :(

As I was writing my birthday greeting to Rita this morning, I just realized that today was supposed to have been my friend Susan's wedding day! She moved the date back to June because they're in the process of purchasing a house that will be completed in May and didn't want to have to rent a place in the interim (or move into their family's houses) until then. She and I are probably going to have dinner sometime next week to talk about the wedding since June is just around the corner! At least I still have a little bit of time to lose weight before she picks out my dress. ;)

Speaking of which, it's been a complete week of workouts at my new Curves location and I'm slowly getting back into the habit. My aches and pains have gone away since I began on Monday, but I'm still not used to how SMALL my new location is! The machines and jog platforms are SO close to each other and I'm a little weird about personal space, but I simply must have it when I work out! When it's crowded, the person working out next to me is not even an arms length away from me! :P And unfortunately I go there at 5pm when it's the most crowded. :( If anything will stop me from wanting to go it's that, I think. :P

And I saw just the cutest picture of Stephanie and Kate Monster preparing to perform at the "Nothing Like A Dame" fundraiser this past week. I never thought about it, but I guess even Kate Monster needs to be primped before the show. ;)

Tom and I usually work out every night for 1 hour and 10 minutes (we alternate TaeBo and Walk Away the Pounds tapes) but we've been slacking the past couple of days. I know that we have to get back into it soon or we're going to get too out of it!

That picture of Kate getting her hair combed is adorable!

Wow an hour every night is great! I wish I could get Mark to work out with me (or even just to take walks with me when I get home) but he's very anti-exercise! :P

And I love Kate Monster! :) I think that I was exactly like her right after college! ;)

In the summer, we use to walk together (with Cameron in the stroller) for about an hour every night, so that helped get us ready to do those long workouts at home.

At the Curves where I go they also have very little space between the platforms and machines. It is a bit nervewracking at times because I also like my personal space... and I like to have an empty machine or platform between me and the person on either side of me. Nothing bothers me more than then there is 5 people working out and someone jumps into the circle rignt next to me. I feel like they are right on top of me.

How strange that your boss would suddenly leave for the competitor. I am sure that shocked everyone.

UGH! Me too! I try to leave one space open between me and the next person, be it a platform or a machine, but the Curves I go to is SO small that at 5pm, there aren't enough spaces and everyone is either occupying a platform or a machine. :P I feel like everyone is too close! :(

And unfortunately NASD rules state that the day you turn in your resignation is your last day. :( So unfortunately he really had no control in when his last day was. :( People were just hurt that he hadn't talked with them about it prior to leaving. It was stressful for me because I knew about it for months and couldn't say anything. :( I'm glad it's out in the open now.

Wow, I had no idea that any company would have the day you turn in your resume as your last day... most want all the notice they can get out of you.

I feel like that at Curves sometimes too... when they are crowded.

My sleep schedule has been messed up too. I wish I knew why.

I would have at least gave some notice if I was your old boss. I mean he did what he had to do I guess, but I think that's kind of rude. :/

Every time I try to go broadway.com to look at the stuff you link, it makes AOL freeze. :P

I hope your sleep schedule becomes more normal. I just got up again (it's 10:42 am and I fell asleep at about 7am) :P

And in defense of my boss, NASD rules state that the day you turn in your resignation will be your last day. Our BIG boss is the one who told him to clean up his office and get out. :P Unfortunately in our business there isn't any kind of notice that we can give. :( The sad part was that people felt disappointed that he never told them that he was thinking of leaving or that he was unhappy... But I think by the end (after they treated him badly - and did things like force me to move away etc...) he really didn't trust them anymore. And I really agreed with that. The hard part was that I knew he was leaving for about a month now and it was really hard keeping it all to myself this whole time. I'm just so glad that everything is out in the open now. :P

I'm sorry the links freeze up your computer! :( Broadway.Com does take a long time to load - even on my cable connection. :(

That makes more sense about your old boss now. :)

Don't worry about broadway.com. I'm just curious as to what you link from there. :)

I hope your internal clock will be right again, soon. At the moment, I need much time until I fall asleep so that I get approximately 4 hours sleep/night. Luckily, I've got an alarm clock with four legs who is hungry in the morning and already sleeping now. :)

I do love the picture of Stephanie and Kate monster. Thanks for posting it. :)

Wish you a nice Sunday. *Hugs*

Haha! I have a similar four legged alarm clock too! ;) And my fuzzy alarm clock was confused all night trying to figure out my odd sleep pattern. :P

And I love Kate Monster! :) She's my broadway idol! ;) Thanks for taking a look. :)

Hope you're having a nice weekend too! *HUGS*
