Anyway, it turned out to be a rather productive day of studying, however this morning I've been feeling so out of the LJ loop. :P Gee, miss a day and SO much happens! :(
Sydney seems to be happy that I've been home recently. She follows me around the house (like a little fuzzy shadow) and snuggles up with me on the couch when I study. :) She looked so bewildered this morning when I left the house to put some mail in the mailbox... I'm not sure she's going to take it very well when I have to leave for my exam on Monday morning. :P I think we're both getting too used to all this togetherness.
On a belated American Idol note - I've given up on the show. :( It obviously isn't about singing ability and only about popularity and I've decided that I have better ways to spend my Tuesday and Wednesday evenings... Yes, I'm a little bitter about Amy... ;) But really, I think it's lost its appeal to me...
And tonight is the opening night of Nick's "1776" at Riverside! :) I've been thinking a bit about it and I've finally been able to put my finger on just what's so special about Nick's shows. You know how a work environment can be absolutely wonderful because the boss is warm and wonderful and the excitement and enthusiasm filters down to the workers? Nick seems to be that warm boss of theatre! :) I think that it's SO apparent when watching his shows that his actors love and adore him, that they TRUST him, and that he makes them love coming to work each night. THAT is probably what makes his shows so special and that's the intangible extra that makes me want to travel 2,500 miles to see something he's directed. :) Hope they have a stunning opening night! :)
Well, back to the books! Hope you all are having a nice day. :)
