I guess there are two good things that can be said about today!
1. It's over
2. And it's over ;)

No eyebrow ripping today - though it was very tempting... and though we were down to half a staff I think that we did a fairly good job of not going completely insane. :P We did get a little punchy toward the end of the day and I think everyone called another person in the office by the wrong name at least once today (wonder if it was due to all the stress?) :P All the wires that needed to leave left, all the trades that needed to be placed were placed, all the reps that needed to be yelled at were scolded... (thankfully not by me!) :)

Tomorrow my other two co-workers come back from their vacations so it shouldn't be too bad. I just can't believe it's still only Monday. :P

And I've been bad recently - I'm not really a McDonald's person, but ever since karmastyx was nice enough to tell me that they were giving out "The Dog" keychains there, I've been eating lunch out. I'm so addicted to "The Dog" items! I have a Golden Retriever, a Lab, a Beagle, and today I got a Pug. :) I've been wanting to get a Husky - which always makes me think of Amanda and her sled team. :) Too bad there's no Sheltie. :(

And nothing particularly "theatre" going on. :( I wish I hadn't canceled my May NYC trip... I've been listening to the "Assassins" OCR lately and I guess it was a good thing that Mark & I saw it in LA - because unless it extends another week, I won't get the chance to see it on Broadway. :(

Hope you all have a nice evening - I'm off to crawl into bed in anticipation of another fun-filled tax day tomorrow. ;)

I'm glad it's over. :)

McDonald's toys can be addicting. :P

I'm usually not one for collecting these things, but I love "The Dog" items! :) When this promo is over, no more McDonald's for me... I swear. ;)

Woah? They have The Dog stuff there? I didn't know that? Do you have to buy something to get it?

Sheri: Sydney - happyshutterbug93 on April 13th, 2004 08:49 am (UTC)
You actually have to buy a Happy Meal *sheepish grin*. Whenever I get one I always ask them to put it in a bag and not that carton - makes carrying it back to work less embarrassing. ;)

I agree! Too bad they don't have a Sheltie :(. At least all of this crazy tax stuff only comes once a year! Just think when it is all COMPLETELY OVER the relief you will feel. I am really surprised employees are able to take vacations now. Keep that in mind for next year! lol

I have a small "The Dog" Sheltie stuffed animal that Mark bought for me a while back. :) Too bad the McDonald's line doesn't carry them! :(

And Haha! :) Great idea for nest year! ;) Just kidding, of course! :)

We went to McDonald's for Cameron's birthday and got him a happy meal. I wish that he'd gotten a husky one! He got a pug.
Sherishutterbug93 on April 13th, 2004 08:53 am (UTC)
The Husky is so cute, but I haven't seen anyone with it yet - and a lot of my friends are trying to collect them. Wonder if they're "released" in stages? The Pug is kinda cute too, though. :)

LOL! I'm an addict too. I have the Cocker Spaniel, Pug, Beagle, and Dalmatian. :)

I got another Pug today. ;) I really want the Husky or the Westie looks cute too. :) Thanks SO much for telling me about them! :)

Assassins...
You're not going to be able to see it on Broadway????

Darn it. I was counting on getting a recap from you ;)

However, do you think anything could ever compare to the Los Angeles production??? That was one intensely magical night, but then I say that about all Kevin performances don't I?

Speaking of "Assassins" did I ever tell you that my friend and I stayed there until like 11:30pm that night talking???
Well, some of the performers were still there talking too, and just as we were getting up to leave, David Lee walked over and dumped all the red, white, and blue decorations that they used onstage. Denise told him what a wonderful production it was, and he goes, "I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Do either of you want these?"

After laughing, I said, "If you're really sure you can part with them, I know my mother will use them to decorate for 4th of July."

So I ended up with all the stage decorations from "Assassins".

I don't think that I told you that before but, if I did, sorry!

Re: Assassins...
No, drat... :( I have a ticket,... but couldn't make the trip out there in May. :(

But I guess you're right, the LA performance was magical... Kevin, Anthony Crivello, David Burnham, Harry Groener - how can it get any better than that? :) Besides you know how I feel about NPH... ;)

That is SO cool that you got to take home the stage decorations from the Reprise show! :) You never told me that! :) What a fun night that was. I'm glad I was able to see you there. :)

All the fads seem to start off in Japan - it usually takes things so long to come down here. :P I LOVE "The Dog" items - it's a shame we can't order anything online because they don't ship to Hawaii. :(
